July Newsletter 2022
OVAC NEWS
We are right in the middle of Summer fun and I have to say that the club is jumping. It is great seeing all the families enjoying the pool and warm weather. I do want to take this time to please be aware of our pool rules while visiting the club. We are having some issues with parents monitoring their kids during the busy days. Please be aware that for your safety and others, everyone needs to watch their kids.
Also, please be aware that staffing has continued to be a challenge and that we are doing our best to make the club a great experience for all members. Our Café gets really slammed during certain hours of the day. Please be patient as they work as hard as they can to get orders out in a timely manner. Having helped them in the past, I can attest that it is no easy job and goes mostly unnoticed by members.
We hope you enjoy the 4th this month and please be aware that it is one of our busiest days of the year. Space will be limited by the pool but we added more new lounge chairs so hopefully everyone can find a space to enjoy the pool.
Everyone have a great July and hope to see you at the club!

FITNESS NEWS
METABOLIC FINISHERS
-Danielle Wommack, Fitness Director
A metabolic finisher is an intense exercise or group of exercises performed at the end of the workout that's designed to "finish" you off so to speak. Metabolic finishers are a great way to develop mental toughness, accelerate fat loss, enhance work capacity, and increase athletic conditioning to outlast opponents. I don't know that many would describe metabolic finishers as "fun" but they definitely provide a feeling of satisfaction from pushing yourself.
Below are a few example metabolic finishers that you can incorporate at the end of your workouts. And remember these are meant to be intense so push yourself.
AB FINISHER
1-3 total sets/10 repetitions of each exercise with no rest between each exercise/Rest 2 minutes between sets
Side Plank Hip Tap
Garhammer Raise
Super Slow Cros Body Mountain Climber
BODY WEIGHT FINISHER

OVAC's Small Group Personal Training program is a great way to experience metabolic finishers under the watchful eye of an experience personal trainer after a metabolic interval training session. MASSAGE NEWS
BEST FOOT FORWARD
Ever since I got massages for myself, I have never looked back. Paying for yourself is not something to feel guilty about. Having this one hour for myself encourages me to be a happier, a more energetic, and a more calm person around others. So you are not just paying for yourself, it makes it easier to put your best foot forward around others.
We tend to move so quickly in a day from task to task. This gives us that reminder that
we can slow things down. Taking one step at a time.
Now being a Massage Therapist, I love being able to share this gift with others.
Please email or call for a massage. Keep in mind that all massage options are beneficial for all body types and for what we need.
